Bányai Családi Pince

Tokaj's treasures, crafted by generations

In the Bányai family, the commitment to viticulture, tradition, and quality spans across generations. Currently, four generations work together in the winemaking process.

On their approximately 8 hectares of land, they cultivate grape varieties typical of Tokaj, including Furmint, Hárslevelű, Yellow Muscat, and Kövérszőlő. The winery aims to craft wines that faithfully reflect the uniqueness of the region by combining modern and traditional techniques. Their range extends from fresh, fragrant, fruit-driven wines to terroir-specific, vineyard-selected wines, and even to late-harvest sweet wines and world-renowned Aszú.

The vineyards are located on the sunny slopes of Király Hill, Hosszú Hill, Gombos Hill, as well as the Makra and Kőporosi vineyards. One-third of the areas consist of young plantings, while the rest are older vineyards planted in the 1960s. The winery's mission is to showcase the exceptional qualities of the Tokaj wine region through wines crafted with care, heart, and soul, while honoring the traditions of their Swabian heritage.
